PR exam MSU U&E PSA USS Transrectal US and biopsy
What is the non pharmacological management of BPH?
Avoid caffeine and alcohol
Distraction techniques while voiding
Void twice consecutively to ensure no post residual voulme
What is the pharmacological management of BPH?
Alpha blockers: tamsulosin 400microg/day
5a reductase inhibitor: finasteride 5mg/day
What is the surgical management of BPH?
Transurethral resection of prostate
Transurethral incision of prostate
Retropubic prostatectomy
