BOP ESFAS Flashcards
What actuations occur if RU-29, Train A Control Room ventilation rad monitor failed high?
Trains A and B CREFAS
Operators use an ARP to mitigate
What actuates on a CREFAS?
- Normal ventilation dampers close
- CR essential outside air dampers open
- Both CT pumps start (makeup to EC and EW surge tanks)
- CR essential AHU fans start
- EW, SP, EC pumps start
Describe the Bypass function of the BOP ESFAS.
Bypass is implemented via a key lock switch
Bypasses the test and trip functions but the channel can still be cross tripped
Describe the power supply arrangement for BOP ESFAS.
Train A = PNA-D25 and PKA-D21
Train B = PNB-D26 and PKB-D22
The power supplies for each cabinet are auctioneered
Describe the RU monitors associated with BOP ESFAS.
FBEVAS
- RU-31 = SFP area monitor
- RU-145 = FB ventilation exhaust
CPIAS
- RU-37/38 = Containment Purge ducts in the east wrap (140’ AB)
CREFAS
- RU-29/30 = sample intake air from the CR ventilation system
Explain the different modes of operation of the load sequencer
0 - No Input. Normal mode in standby
1 - SIAS/CSAS, no LOP
2 - SIAS/CSAS, with a LOP
3 - LOP only
4 - Misc. (AFAS, CREFAS, CRVIAS, FBEVAS, DGSS, DG Run)
