LEVITICUS – Holy (27)
Characteristics & Themes: A handbook for the priests and Levites. The way to the Holy One (sacrifice & priesthood) and the way to holiness (sanitation & sanctification). Communicates how God is to be worshipped and calls Israel to a holy life. God outlines the holiness required of his covenant people.
Holiness (27) 1-7 The sacrifices the Lord requires 8-10 The priests the Lord desires 11-15 Recognizing and remedying uncleanness 16-27 Living as a holy nation
Numbers
NUMBERS – Wanderings (36)
Characteristics & Themes: The Lord keeps His covenant with His people. Yahweh is the sovereign Lord of heaven, earth, nations, and creation. Yahweh having bound Himself to His people with the covenant bond of love, he redeems his people and is ever with and for them. He maintains His holiness. The Lord is with His people in their varied circumstances and instructs, blesses, chides, chastises, and punishes them in the immediate context of their lives. He demands fellowship, worship, and work from his people at all times and in all circumstances. God orders the life of his people, numbering them and ordering their camp and travel.
Time & Place: 40 years (between Exodus and Joshua) in Sinai, Wilderness, Transjordan

Deuteronomy
DEUTERONOMY - Covenant Restated (34)
Characteristics & Themes: The heart relationship between God and His people. Proclaiming Yahweh as the sovereign King of His people and exhorts His people to continual heartfelt allegiance. God reaffirms his promises and his people’s obligations as they enter their inheritance.
Time & Place: On the plains of Moab after 40 years of wandering, just prior to Joshua
