Truths to be believed with a divine and Catholic faith (assent of faith).
Tenenda Teachings
Secondary objects of revelation to be firmly held and viewed as settled
Obsequium Teachings
Teachings presumed to be true which may be fallible
Papal Infallibility [requirements]:
In the exercise of his office as shepherd, in virtue of his supreme apostolic authority, on matters of doctrine and morals, to be held by the entire Church.
Ecumenical councils are also seen as infallible, along with the combined consensus of all of the bishops scattered throughout the world.
Heresy
The post-baptismal denial or doubt of a truth that must be held with divine and Catholic faith.
Apostasy
The total repudiation of the Christian faith.
Schism
Refusal of submission to the Roman Pontiff.
Lay Preaching Requirements
In certain circumstances, when it is advantageous, as defined by the episcopal conference, and it cannot include homilies.
Faculty to preach
Bishops have this everywhere unless expressly prohibited by the diocesan bishop.
Priests and deacons have this everywhere unless prohibited by competent authority or in a religious house where permission of the superior is required.
Catholic School
A school under a competent ecclesiastical authority, a public juridic person, or a school called a Catholic School by a competent authority.
