ASIS
Anterior superior Iliac spine of the pelvis. Top side of the pelvis
PSIS
Posterior Superior Iliac Spine-top of the pelvis in the back of the body
Iliac Crest
Top of the pelvis on the back side
Tibia
Shin bone - lower leg bone
Fibula
Smaller lower leg bone under and to the side of the Tibia
Patella
Knee cap
Humerus
Upper arm bone
Radius and Ulna
Forearm bones
Popliteal groove
Center of the mass of the knee
Popliteal fossa
Middle of the posterior or back of the knee
Calcaneus
Heel bone - located just below the ankle and connects the calf muscle to the foot.
Clavicle
Collar bone that sits between the shoulder and the sternum at the top of the ribcage
Acromio
Clavicular (AC) joint
Scapula -
Shoulder blade - a triangular bone that joins the clavicle (collarbone)and the humerus (upper arm bone)
Glenohumeral joint
Shoulder joint: it takes a ball and socket joint that connects the upper arm, humerus and scapula.
Sternum
Breast bone - a long flat bone in the central part of the chest and connects the ribs
Scoliosis
When the spine has a lateral (sideways) curve. (May also be seen with forward hang)
Thorax
Is the region between the abdomen and the neck. Upper half of the chest
Tibial tuberosity
Is the bony protrusion at the top of the tibia bone in the lower leg
Lateral malleolus
Protruding bone on the side of the ankle. At the distal extent of the fibula
Medial malleolus
Is the spherical bony protrusion on the inner side of the leg just above the ankle joint
