Bones Flashcards
synarthrosis
immobile (suture joints of skull)
amphiartrosis
limited mobility
diarthrosis
freely moble joint
uniaxial joint
singular plane (elbow)
biaxial joint
motion in two planes (knuckle joint)
multiaxial joint
several directions (shoulder)

synovial joint
not directly connected to each other with fibrous connective tissue or cartilage
articular capsule
fibrous connective tissue structure that is attached to each bone just outside of the bones surface
articular cartilage
a thin layer of hyaline cartilage that cover inside surface
