Q
Why does trigonal planar have a larger bond angle than trigonal pyramidal?
A
Trigonal Planar has a lone pair, Trigonal Pyramidal only has bonded. BP-BP repulsion is weaker than LP-BP repulsion so the angle is larger in Trigonal Planar
14
Q
Difference between trigonal pyramidal and trigonal planar?
A
Trigonal Pyramidal has a lone pair.
