Boeing Habits
Seek to Understand: Because awareness can teach us and help us improve (noticing the moment), Doing round table and ask the open question to get the information. Some people are very vocal and some not, some are open and some are not, how you will hear from them !!! you found the person who is quite and shy to talk and ask there opinion. SSL reinforces the power of perspectives, the strength of creativity and the opportunity to make the workplace better each day.
Ex: EDI LAB: Benjamin, (Young vs Expert), make sure you get the information from the young people.
Speak to Navigating our Emotions: Because its the right thing to do and every voice matters. Speak with integrity and transparency. Encourage people to speak up. How you can make people to speak: its culture can’t do it immediately. Build trust, ask the question’s.
Ex 1: EDI LAB: Workload high due change of the scope.
Ex 2: Most of the project or team breaks down since people are not speaking the issues openly. Work Load Pressure due to frequent changes in the scope and lack of good estimation hours.
Listen to Respond Constructively: Because listening builds trust and leads to better decisions, Listen openness and with curiosity. make them feel there voice heard and matters.
Ex 1: EDI LAB: Diverse and Different Perspective (young vs expert), make sure they young people voice is heard.
Ex 2: WFO for the E-7, Change the mindset from 5 to 4 days,
What is the unique about it: We often used this habits from the childhood but the catch here is we have mostly used individually but while combine all three we are getting magic.
Used SS&L as an LP&T to create psychological safety
on your team…“A state in which people feel confident that
they may take risks, make mistakes, speak
up…and be their authentic selves without
fear of judgment, embarrassment or
retaliation.” - Seek, Speak & Listen Research Summary, adapted from Amy Edmonson.
Where you used: Its everyday habit we know it but not easy to practice often, its to solve business problems to achieve our goals and priorities, Avoid going issues unnoticed and without resolving and build a trust and transparency. It can be anything idea, voice of concern’s, push back on the timeline.
