What are blood-borne pathogens?
Blood-borne pathogens are disease carrying microorganisms were pathogens that can be found in human blood and other body fluids that are transmitted via direct contact with those fluids or needles or other contaminated instruments
How are blood borne pathogens transmitted?
Blood-borne pathogens may be transmitted when an individual is exposed to infected body fluids
What are the two most significant diseases caused by bloodborne pathogens?
Hepatitis B, which is caused by the Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) and Aquired Immunodefiency Syndrome( Aids), which results from the Human Immunodefiency Virus( HIV)
What are the primary ways these pathogens are transmitted in occupational settings?
Puncture wounds from sharp contaminated objects and through the mucus membranes of the eyes, nose, or mouth

Not breathing, cough that is quiet/ no sound, cannot cry ( younger)/ high pitched , noisy breathing, bluish lips or skin, makes the universal sign (of holding the throat)
