What are the steps to manage a blood spill?
Wear PPE (gloves, apron, mask and eye protection)
Contain the spill with paper towels
Gather all equipment needed
Place chlorine releasing agent and leave for 5 minutes or per manufacturers instructions
Clean up with paper towels and dispose of as clinical waste
Wash area with water and detergent then dry
Make sure any sharps are disposed of and dispose of single use items
Hand hygiene

Sodium dichloro-iso-cyanurate

What are the possible dangers of chlorine releasing agents?
