What does CPR stand for?
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Explain CPR.
Combination of rescue breathing and chest compressions delivered to victims thought to be in cardiac arrest. CPR can support a small amount of blood flow to the heart and brain to buy time until normal heart function is restored.
Steps for CPR.
C/A/B. Circulation/Airway/Breathing
What are the chest compression/rescue breathing for a single rescuer/assisted rescuer?
30 Chest compressions to 2 breaths for a single rescuer. 15 and 2 for assisted.
What is the recommended rate of chest compressions per minute when performing CPR?
100 compressions per minute.
The steps of the survival chain.
Recognition/Activation of CPR, Chest Compressions, AED/Defibrillator, Rapid Defibrillation, Effective Advanced Life Support (EMTs, Ambulance), Integrated Post-Cardiac Arrest Care.
Where are HSM 35’s AEDs located?
2nd Deck by the Wardroom, 1st deck in the hallway between the PR shop and the Tool Room leading into the Hangar.
