A

As they could be discriminated against since they didn’t have equal rights to the white and also the slave trade was a massive thing then so blacks could be kidnapped.

What were the steps back for slaves?

A

> Black people in the south were allowed to vote however were physically threatened not to
Riots broke out over blacks voting and many were killed
Many schools closed down in the south, because whites stopped supplying them
Black people fell into debt because they couldn’t afford to keep them running
Many whites produced laws which would make lives of the blacks harder
Blacks were not allowed to communicate or even co-operate with the whites
