A

1.1 million black people fought in the army and 600 pilots trained

400, 000 black people migrated to the north during the war

2 million worked in northern war factories however many still lived in piece rut and paid less then white people

1941 Roosevelt passed a law that all factory workers had to employ black people

Membership of NAACP rose from 50,000 to 450,000 after the war
