A
14+ 66 Days
It takes longer for a girl to receive a name because another creator has been made. This reflects the holiness surrounding the gift of creation. Girl is given her name after the father has read from the Torah in the Synagogue. There may also be a rejoicing for the daughter ‘Simchat Bat’
