Describe collection method of environmental quality survey
A
- individually went down all categories to asses each location against series of environmental characteristics
- enabled us to have clear idea of what each site was like with regard to air quality, noise pollution and aesthetic appearance
- doing these individually allowed us to subsequently take an average of results. Important as reduces amount of individual subjectivity by averaging out peoples results

How did the collection method for the EQS address out aim
A
Considering the environment quality in both re-developed and non-redeveloped areas. Enabling a comparison of results to occur

Explain why the radar diagram was appropriate for the EQS
A
- easy to compare sites and easy to compare different aspects of the same site
- all raw data is used and represented, removes risk of calculation errors from making averages

Disadvantages of radar diagrams
A
- difficult to see specific results
- joint results overlap so may be difficult to distinguish
- making diagram is time consuming and scale difficult to define

Describe the reliability of the method
A
- Weak because it’s only a snapshot
- was also not a typical day as there was german Christmas market so more busy

Describe the validity of method
A
- Methods are good but based on opinion, they can change
- our views on urban area are skewed as we live in rural area
- we conducted several methods and combined equal a strong conclusion. Also used tried and tested methods
