what is the order of classification?
Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species
what are the 5 kingdoms?
Animals, Plants, Fungi, Prokaryotes, Protocists
what are the biological features of an animal?
- no cell walls
- multicellular
- feed on other organisms
what are the biological features of fungi?
- all cell walls have chitin
- mostly multicellular
- live on dead organisms
what are the biological features of plants?
- cell walls made of cellulose
- multicellular
- make their own food
what are the biological features of protocists?
- mostly unicellular
- no DNA
- bacteria
what are the biological features of prokaryotes?
- cells have no nucleus
- unicellular
- bacteria with DNA
what is asexual reproduction?
only involves one parent, no joining of gametes. They are clones of their parent.
what is sexual reproduction?
