Trachea into bronchus into bronchi in to alveoli
How does the shape of alveoli help their function
Alveoli have a roughly spherical shape this allows the to contain a large volume of air within a large surface area
What is coronary heart disease
When fatty material builds up inside the coronary arteries that supply blood to the heart itself
What are risks of CHD
Reduces blood flow in the arteries
The amount of oxygen the heart muscles reduce
Causes pain, heart attacks or even death
Name one treatment for CHD
Placing a stent in side the blood vessel pushing the fat to the sides and allowing blood to flow more freely
Heart failure:
Heart failure is when the heart can no longer pump enough blood for the body’s needs
Treatments include a transplant or for something more temporary an artificial heart

Is caused by the changes in cells leaving to uncontrollable cell growth and division

Malignant-these are cancerous and can spread throughout the body
Benign-Growth of abnormal cells but do not spread or invade
