What happens if you make changes in the middle of a billing interval
They will prorate how much you are charged (or credit back), so that you only pay for what you actually use. These prorations will be applied at the start of the next billing interval

What happens when you change your billing interval
From monthly to yearly you establish a new billing cycle, with your plan automatically renewing on the calendar day you made this change the next year. Whatever amount of time is left on your already paid monthly cycle will be subtracted from your annual payment.
From yearly to monthly the new billing cycle will take effect the day your annual cycle ends. Your plan automatically renew each month on the same calendar day going forward. This establishes a new billing cycle with your plan automatically renewing on the calendar day you made this change the next month
How does Notion prorate your bill
They adjust the amount they bill you so you only pay for what you are getting and for the time you’re getting it.
These charge (or credits) for changes made in the middle need to be added retroactively to your next invoice
How are you billed for adding members
You get an invoice for the members who were initially there. You get another invoice for the additional members you added in the middle of the billing cycle. The next billing cycle you get billed for all members
How are you billed for removing members
For each member removed, we’ll credit you a prorated amount for the time they did not belong to your workspace. You’ll only be charged for the time they did belong
Why do invoices and plan prices differ
This is because some change was made to your plan, number of members, or billing interval in between invoices and they prorated the amount due accordingly
How can get a plus plan for free
Individual university students and teachers who associate their accounts with their school email addresses
If you already have a paid plan what should you do to gain access to the free plus plan
Downgrade then click the button that says Get free education plan
Can you add members to your free paid plan
No you can only add guests
What are the basics for sales tax in notion
Tax rate is applied to your Notion bill they use your address
If Notion accepts your TRN and your address provided is in a jurisdiction where businesses are tax exempt they will not charge you tax unless there is a change to tax law
