Q

“Bi means Obstruction….
- it is due to a DEFICIENCY of Yin and Wei Qi
and …. to the Space Between the skin being open,
allowing Wind-Cold Dampness to ride the Deficiency.

-Qi becomes Obstructed by Pathogenic Factors,
it cannot Circulate, It Stagnates, Qi and Blood Congeal
and Painful Obstruction Syndrome develops.”

  • An Ancient, Universal Disease that affects everyone at
    one time or another.

Q

🔹ACCORDING To Depth of Disease
-Skin Painful Obstruction
*Pathogenic Factors OBSTRUCT the superficial aspects
of the body, common Sx reduced or sensation lost.
-Muscle Painful Obstruction
*Pathogenic Factors PENETRATE the muscle layer, soreness
Muscle aches, stiffness and deeper numbness or
Paresthesia.
-Vessel Painful Obstruction
*Changing from a Qi level to Blood level disorder,
Purplish dark areas and the pain will be a cold type.
Severe cases: Gangrene may set in
May have aching along the whole channel
-Sinew Painful Obstruction
*Deep level penetrating, inflexibility, stiffness, spasms, pain
-Bone Painful Obstruction
*Deepest Penetration, bone weakness and deformity

Q

-Chronic, Develops from any of the other four types
-Persistent obstruction leads to ACCUMULATION OF BODY
FLUIDS TURNING INTO PHLEGM, More Stagnation
-Extreme Forms of Phlegm:
*Muscular atrophy, Swelling, Deformity, of Joints Bones..
( RA..Swelling, Osteo……Bone Deformity)
*Leads to Blood stasis, compelling existing Stagnation

A

Bone Bi…(If left untreated, becomes a chronic condition)

Q

Heart Painful Obstruction
- Palpations, anxiety, a heavy stifling sensation in the chest

Lung Painful Obstruction
- Wheezing, Stifling sensation in the chest, SOB, Sx worse
on exertion

Spleen Painful Obstruction
- Weakness of limbs, hiccups, vomiting, nausea and anorexia
( spleen related to muscles)
Liver Painful Obstruction (LV stores blood moves Qi)
- Stifling sensation in the Costal and Hypochondriac regions
- Some feel a mass in Epigastrium
- Poor sleep with a tendency to wake with a start

Kidney Painful Obstruction
- Muscular Weakness or atrophy of the limbs and weakness
of the spinal column
- Difficulty standing for long periods or walking
- Some so weak, that they are reluctant to get up.

Q

♦️The More Distal a point is along the Meridian,
the Further up the Channel is its Influence ♦️
- GB 34 affects the Shoulder
- GB 39 affects the Neck

♦️Distal points of Related Channels can be used according
to Correspondence of Joints in upper and lower limbs
( shoulder = Hip, Elbow = a Knee, Wrist=Ankle)
( Taiyang, Taiyin) ( BL and LU relationship)
