-Parkinson’s disease
-Control extrapyramidal adverse effects except for tardive dyskinesia
-Acute dystonia reactions
Mechanism of Action
Blocks acetylcholine action at cholinergic receptor sites. This restores the brain’s normal dopamine and acetylcholine balance which relaxes muscle movement and decreases drooling, rigidity, and tremor

CNS: Agitation, confusion, delirium, delusions, sedation, paranoia, psychosis
CV: Bradycardia, ,
othostatic hypotension, palpitations
EENT: Blurred vision, dry mouth, increased ocular pressure
GI: Constipation, N/V
GU: Urinary hesitancy, urinary retention
MS: Muscle spasms
SKIN: Decreased sweating, flushing
Life-threatening SE
CV: hypotension
