Q

How would you approach Bowen’s disease of actinic keratoses

A
  • Cryotherapy
  • Curettage
  • Photo-dynamic therapy
  • Imiquimod
17
Q

How does imiquimod work

A

Releases cytokines which stimulate an immune response
• Pros: good cosmetic response, used where surgery is undesired
• Cons: treatment time is 6 weeks, Causes inflammation, can fail

18
Q

A

Acitinic Keratoses

19
Q

Patient presents with SCC scaly, erythematosed patches which are confined to the epidermis- what is this?

A

Bowen’s disease
