Yes Any animal responding differentially with its enviro has aliefs. (But no beliefs)

A
They are not through logical reasoning. Like an experiment: you see one thing and then you get food. Like a light turns on and you get food. this is how aliefs are formed. A simpler cognitive mechanism than reasoning or thinking.
