Define Behcet’s disease
A
complex multi-system associated with presumed autoimmune mediated inflammation of the arteries and veins.

A
oral ulcers, genital ulcers and anterior uveitis

risk factors of behcets disease?
A
- More common in Turkey, Greece and Central Asia
- More common in men
- Affects young adults (20 – 40 years old)
- Family history is a risk factor

A
- deep vein thrombosis
- Arthritis
- GI: abdominal pain, diarrhoea, colitis
- Erythema nodosum
