Cavaliers pushed the Roundheads back but they eventually had to retreat because they reorganised and charged back

Charles decided to settle in to Oxford for the winter and lost his best chance for winning because London was unprepared until then.

Triennial Act passed and the abolishing of episcopacy
Church was to be in govt’s hands and wanted control of the militia.
