Basics Level 3 Flashcards
Card01: Drill 3/21
Address Driver more on heel to stop left to right flight path (Slice). Picture shows address position is one ball over from center.
Remarks:
Card02: Drill 3/22 Keep synchronization on Take away. This has been adopted by hundreds of golfers.
Place Driver grip in belly button, now do TA, turning body no further than your hands reach beyond your right thigh. Repeat this over and over on your warm up, before your round.
Remarks:
Card03: A good release drill.
Shake hands with the target. Some amateurs attempt to guide the Driver. Do not do this!
Instead shake hands with the Driver on your release. This gives more power! Pictures PP 56,57.
Do this in slow motion. Freeze when your right arm is horizontal with the ground in your FF. Your hand SB in line with the target, ready to shake hands. If your hand is pointing left or right of target, or your palm is angled to the sky or the ground you need to make some adjustments.
Remarks:
Card04: Create a box at top of swing.
See the picture P.58. This position encompasses the correct amount of wrist hinge. Very important with Driver.
Remarks:
Card05: Drill 3/25. Mix your Drivers.
I already practice this teeing off with 3 & 5 woods, 4,5 and 7 Irons. Remember the Tee off is to setup my second shot.
Remarks:
Card06: Wind up the tension
Turn left shoulder behind the ball. Mental Image: Concentrate turning left shoulder to where your right shoulder was at setup.
This drill promotes a better upper body turn and ensures weight transfer to right side.
Swinger: Have a natural slow rhythm.
Remarks:
Card07: On setup, close up CF on Driver to 3/8” closed. I already do this. P. 62.
Picture perfect tee shot. Justin Rose P, 64.
