amount under which needs of 50% of the population are met
What’s Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA)?
amount under which needs of 97% of the population are met
What’s Adequate Intake (AI)?
- a range that is expected to meet or exceed the needs of most individuals
- made when there in insufficient info
What’s Tolerable Upper Limit (UL)?
the highest level of continuous daily nutrient intake that causes no adverse effects
What’s a Prospective Study?
a study that follows an individual through life
What’s a Retrospective Study?
a study that looks back on someones life
