Barbaresco out performed Barolo because of a dry August/September. barolo received some rain. It’s a lighter version though. Similar to ‘05

Big, ripe year. Easier to drink young. Like the ‘11

Why Barbaresco is softer than Barolo
A
A little more humid in Barbaresco, and more potassium/calcium so more nutrient content to eat. Picking is usually earlier
