A
- cardiac: cardiomyopathy (heart failure), abdnomal ventric remodeling (hypertrophy), afib
- pulmonary: astha, sleep apnea, hypoventilation syndrome
- kidneys: decreased renal perfusion
- GU: urinary incontinence, infertility
- integ: infection,m hyperkeratosis
- vascular: increased total blodo volume, altered stroke volume and CO, HTN
- MSK: OA
- adipose tissue: increase production of adipokines
- liver: non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, NASH
- pancreas: insulin resistance, T2DM

male and female obesity numbers
A
- waist circumference > 40 for men and > 36 in for women considered indicative of central obesity
- waist to hip ratio > 1.0 in males and > 0.85 in female suggestive of central obesity
- want peripheral fat distribution (pear shape or gluteofemoral obesity) in women - associated with lower relative incidence of obesity related risk factors than apple shape/central fat distribution
