What does plasma do in blood
Transports proteins and other chemicals around the body
What do red blood cells do
Transport oxygen from the lungs to the tissues

Prevent backflow ensuring that blood flows in the right direction
How does the heart pump blood around the body
-The aorta carries oxygenated blood away from the left ventricle to the body.
-The vena cava carries deoxygenated blood from the body back to the heart.
-The pulmonary artery carries deoxygenated blood away from the right ventricle to the lungs.
-The pulmonary vein returns oxygenated blood from the lungs to the heart.
