physical factors are not living that can affect organisms such as the weather

biological factors are other things that can affect an organism such as a predator
what are adaptions?
adoptions of features that help organisms survive in their environment
what is a producer?
Producer is always the start of a food chain and uses sunlight as the source of energy
What are consumers?
consumers are organisms that eat other organisms
what do the arrows in a food chain show?
The arrows in a food chain show the movement of energy from one organism to another.
what is an adaption?
an adaption is a change in an organism that allows it to be more suited to its environment. Animals best adapt to environment to survive and reproduce.
what do living organisms compete for?
living organisms compete for food, water mate and territory
what is quantitive data?
quantitative data can be measured and recorded using numbers for example population size
what is qualitative data?
qualitative data is non-numeric data such as describing an impact
what are pesticides
pesticides are chemicals used to kill insects
what is bioaccumulation?
bioaccumulation is the buildup of chemicals such as pesticides as they are passed through the food chain
what are indicator species?
indicator species such as lichens can be used to investigate levels of pollution
what is deforestation
deforestation is the destruction or removal of forest or woodland. This can contribute to global warming habitat loss and reduction in biodiversity.
what is biodiversity?
biodiversity is the number of different species of living organisms found in one area
what are reproducible investigations?
reproducible investigations can be carried out by another investigator who will collect the same results
what is an independent variable?
an independent variable is the thing that gets changed.
what is the dependent variable?
A dependent variable is the thing that gets measured
