Pathogens are micro organisms that cause infectious disease
Can be fungi, protists, bacteria, or viruses
Measles
Symptom - Fever and Red skin rash
Transmission - Droplet infection from sneezes or coughs
Control spread by - Child Vaccination
Caused by - Virus
Tobacco Mosaic Virus
Symptom - Mosaic pattern on leaves
Transmission - Enters via wounds in the epidermis caused by pests
Control spread by - Remove infected leaves and control pests creating the wounds
Caused by - Virus
Rose Black Spot
Symptom - Purple black spots on leaves
Transmission - Spores carried via wind or water
Control spread by - Remove infected leaves and spray with pesticide
Caused by - Fungus
Malaria : STCC
Symptom - Recurrent Fever
Transmission - By a vector from an infected person
Control spread by - Preventing the breeding of mosquitoes or use a net to stop being bitten
Caused by - Protist
Gonorrhoea
Symptom - Green discharge from penis or vagina
Transmission - Direct sexual contact or body fluids
Control spread by - Use a condom and treat the infected person with antibiotics
Caused by - Bacteria
Salmonella - STCC
Symptom - Fever, Cramp, Vomiting, Diarrhoea
Transmission - Food prepared in unhygeineic conditions or not cooked properly
Control spread by - Improve food hygeine, wash hands, vaccinate poultry, cook food thoroughly
