Q

How would auxin work with a new seed ?

A
  • The auxin is evenly distributed in the newly germinated root and shoot
  • auxin falls to the bottom of the roots and shoots due to gravity ( geotropism) so the auxin is unevenly distributed
  • Auxin inhibits root growth so the root will grow downwards but the auxin stimulates the shoot to grow upwards
