which hormones are made in the pituitary gland?
FSH and LH
which hormones is made by the ovary?
Oestrogen
what are the 4 steps of the menstrual cycle?
- the bleeding starts
- lining of the uterus builds up
- an egg is developed and released
- the wall is maintained for 14 days until day 28.
what are the three main hormones?
LH,FSH,Oestrogen
what does FSH stimulate and produce?
causes an egg to mature in the ovaries and stimulates the ovaries to produce oestrogen
what does oestrogen do? and where is it produced?
causes pituitary glands to produce LH and is produced in the ovaries
where is LH get produced? and what does it do?
Pituitary glands, and it releases an egg
name a plant hormone?
auxin
what does auxin do?
it controls growth near the tips of the shoots and roots
what happens to a plant if one side is in shade and the other in sunlight?
the side with shade will produce more auxin meaning the cells will grow faster, resulting in the plant growing towards the sunlight
what levels need to be controlled within our bodies?
ion, water, sugar and temperature
how are some ions lost?
through sweat and kidneys
how is sugar lost?
metabolism, exercise, insulin
