why should you use your fingers of your hands and not your thumb to detect a pulse?
because your thumb has its own pulse meaning that it would confuse the readings
why are three readings of the resting rate and the standing rate are taken?
Three readings are taken when resting becuase it is needed to check the average whilst you are resting. Which we check when standing the heart rate changes so it is needed to check carefully (readings are slightly different)
