Baleen
Tough, flexible bristles in the mouths of the baleen whales used to filter pray (small fishes, krill) out of water or mud
Barbel
A long, slender touch organ extending from the chin of some fishes, sometimes used as a lure to attract prey

The deep sea region between 600 and 6000 feet (183-1830m)
Benthic
Bottom dwelling - occurring on the bottom of the ocean, lakes, rivers etc.

The production of light by a living organism (like the pacific viperfish’s lurelike fin that lights up to attract prey)

A whales spout or exhaled breath at the surface of the water
Blowhole
A breathing nostril on top of a whales head
Blubber
Thick insulating layer of fat beneath the skin of most marine mammals
Breach
A whales leap from the water
Buoyancy
And objects ability to float in liquid or air
