hospital - Cause of death known, but want to find out a bit more, need consent from relatives

medico-legal - 90% of all autopsies, done on request of the coroner

  2. Presumed iatrogenic - due to care eg. an operation
  3. Presumed unnatural eg. suicide, accidents, murders
