AUTO Climb Flashcards
What do you do if ATC assigns a speed then later says to resume normal speed
- Select speed in SPD/MACH window and pull(selected speed)
2. Push same knob to return to managed speed(ECON speed)
What speed is used to achieve the approx. max rate and max angle climb
- Max rate - use turbulent penetration speed(FMS doesn’t provide)
- Green dot - equates to max angle so select it in FCU or hit expedite pb
Column 1 and 2 for EXPED climb
1 and 2 will indicate THR CLB and EXP CLB respectively
What’s the max altitude for expedite climb
25000
What’s the suggested climb mode when a departure procedure includes altitude constraints and the FMA col. 2 reads what
- Managed climb
2. CLB in green
What do you set the FCU altitude when told to climb via
Top altitude and managed climb
What lateral mode must be active for a managed climb and the resulting climb mode if ATC assigns a heading while performing a managed climb on a SID
- Managed Navigation(green NAV in col. 3)
2. It reverts to OP CLB when lateral mode is changed to HDG
What’s the thrust setting used by auto thrust system and col. 1 indication when a managed climb is engaged
- Climb thrust
2. THR CLB
How do you enter an AT, AT OR BELOW, or AT OR ABOVE altitude on the F-PLN page
- AT - enter altitude
- AT OR BELOW - enter /-altitude
- AT OR ANOVE - enter /+altitude
How do you enter a climb speed on F-PLN
Enter (speed)/
What’s the effect of using CLR at the R LSK with both a speed and altitude entered
Both speed and altitude are deleted
