Who are trainee solo sorties to be authorized by?
A
The DS after the profile has been discussed and approved by the QFI who conducted the solo check.

When a solo trainee sorties is flown with a QFI due to extenuating circumstances (i.e. sandbagging), how is the flight to be treated?
A
- Flown to solo limits
- QFI only flies to ensure the safety of the flight
- QFI is captain, callsign is QFI callsign
- Sortie is recorded as dual

When are solo students to contact the DS? What frequency to contact them?
A
- After completion of boldface, checklist actions and achieving a suitable area/time to consult with the DS has been arranged
