What is the Authoritarian Personality Type?
People who are submissive to those in higher authority and dismissive of inferiors. They tend have extreme respect for authority, highly conventional attitudes, view society as going to the dogs and think we need strong leaders to enforce traditional values.

What is legitimacy of authority?
Is the explanation of obedience which suggests that we are more likely to obey people who we perceive to have authority over us, justified by their position on the social hierarchy. The authority such individuals have is agreed by society and we all accept that authority figures are allowed exercise power or us because this enables society to function smoothly.
Agentic State
Someone who believes they are actin for someone else, they an agent. They experience high anxiety when they realise what they are doing is wrong but feel powerless to disobey.
