Ongoing evaluation to monitor childs hearing status once child receives a hearing aid or cochlear implant
With Hearing impairment will the child go through the same process of detection, discrimination, identification, and comprehension when have an hearing aid?
yes, but hearing impaired children need more help/ assistance achieving goals
What is BTE(Behind-The-Ear)? what needs to be replaced?
Only ear mold needs to be replaced, the larger the size of the hearing aid, the more power it can provide without producing feedback
What do Cochlear Implants do?
speech processor then analyzes the sound and converts it into a digital sound signal, then sent to transmitter
** not everyone qualifies, must have good auditory nerve
