What is the AUDIO SWITCHING PANEL used for?
Allows for switching to ACP 3 if ACP 1 or 2 fails
What are we checking on the Maintenance Panel during the preliminary flight deck prep flow?
Checking that all lights are extinguished. If not contact maintenance
What does the CARGO HEAT HOT AIR amber FAULT light indicate?
Duct overheat
How many fire extinguishers are provided for the cargo compartments?
a. 1 bottle, which can be discharged to either compartment
b. 2 bottles, which can be discharged to either compartment. 205 min discharge requirement for ETOPS
(ETOPS certified aircraft)
What does the red SMOKE light in the FWD or AFT pushbutton indicate?
a. Both channels detect smoke, or
b. One channel faulty and the other detects smoke
How many smoke detectors are there?
a. 2 forward cargo
b. 4 aft cargo
With a CARGO SMOKE warning what happens to the Isolation Valve and Extract Fan?
a. Isolation Valve closes
b. Extract Fan stops
What is the purpose of the CABIN FANS?
To re-circulate cabin air to the mixing chamber and then back to the cabin
With BLOWER and EXTRACT pushbuttons in AUTO how does the system operate?
a. Ground – system is normally in the OPEN configuration
b. Flight – system is normally in the CLOSED configuration
c. Intermediate – Closed configuration except small internal flap in Extract Valve is open
With both BLOWER and EXTRACT pushbuttons in OVRD (smoke configuration) what are the positions of the INLET
