  • POSITION:
    -Gaming con: reinforces his status as a prominent figure who began in gaming. Space for fans and engagement.
    -TV: interviews and appearances showcase his personality and humanize him in the eyes of audiences, exposing his work.

    -KSI uses sigital platforms to create content that attracts veiwers and encourages particicpation- comment section creates a community.
    -multimedia platform, music, boxing, YouTube etc.
  • Cultivation theory:
    -KSI as a role model, promotes repeated positive messages, mental health awareness, and perseverance, he influences his audience.
  • Reception Theory- Hall:
    -PREFFERED: audiences may feel a connection to KSI, rekation to hus humor and experiences
    -NEGOTIATED: he has been controversialand has been criticised but he apologises sincerely and is sensetive to the social climate.
    -OPPOSITIONAL: older audiences would be susupocious of young and successful with non trad careers.
  • Fandom- Jenkins:
    -KSI’s fans actively engage with hus platforms, not only consume but also participate through comments, fan projects etc.

    -Age 26-55 through the use of Facebook and X - primary SM used by this age demo
    -Younger men- celeb culture and stories, reference their childhood.
    -Older men: retro culture of the 1990s and political stories. “Real bodies” use mature men and explore the health issues they face.
  • APPEAL:
    -Psychographic: Targets the ‘bachelor’ and the ‘married man’ inclusion of interests like gay culture, fashion, film, and magazines. Lacks family articles as stereotypically gay audiences are less likely to have children.
  • POSITION:
    -reach: new media techs allow them to reach specialized audiences. Online platforms allow a space for alienated individuals allows them to take control of their representation.
    -reaches specialised audiences via sense of community and providing lgbtq+individukals with a voice
    -USES & GRATS website :
    Surveillance: learn about the glonal issues affecting the community, eg taiwans legalisation of same sex marriage.
    Diversion: cescapism via ‘entertainment’ category eg madonnas performance at eurovision and James Charles backlash, clear focus on lgbtq.
    Personal Identity: Dutee Chand becoming the first indian sports person to come out woukd resonate with those who are in fear due to their faith or culture.
    Relationships: interactivity allows relationships to form and its a safe space
    -Youtube: most veiwed is 260000 whilst least is 333, minor compared to KSI but shows the niche audience.
