When was operation Mormon?

What did operation Mormon try to achieve ?
To allow the army and police to reclaim paramilitary controlled no-go areas.
What happened on the 21st November 1973 ?
Whitelaw announced the membership of a power-sharing executive had been agreed. 11 ministries would be formed.
What were the terms of the sunningdale agreement?
- London agreed not to oppose Irish unification.
- Dublin accepted Irish unity could only happen if a majority vote was held.
- A 60 member consultative assembly would be elected by the Dail
- internal security issues would be returned to Stormont.
Give two problems of the sunningdale agreement.
- The SDLP saw it as creation of closer ties between NI and ROI
- Faulkner Saw it as a mere token (means of not getting Dublin to accept NI was in UK)
