Describe RAD
- Reactive attachment disorders
- markedly disturbed and developmentally inappropriate social relatedness
signs of RAD
o Noticeable neglectful
o Lack of smiling
o Lack of distress
o Inconsolable crying
Describe inhibited RAD
- Refers to children who continually fail to initiate and respond to social interactions in a developmentally appropriate way
- A child that does not seek comfort from parent
Describe disinhibited RAD
- A child who has an inability to display appropriate selective attachments
- Excessive familiarity with strangers
What is a conduct disorder?
- a repetitive and persistent pattern of behaviour in which the basic rights of other are violated
- behaviour difficulties
Criteria for a conduct disorder
o Aggression to people or animals
o Destruction of property
o Deceitfulness or theft
o Serious violation of rules
