A

Latitude measures the distance from the equator
Latitude lines go round the earth
They are parallel to each other and separated by 10Degrees
The tropics of cancer and Capricorn are approx 23Degrees from equator
The tropics mark the furthest point that the sun shines directly over head

What do the key longitudinal lines mean?

A

Greenwich Meridian is the point at which time it’s set around the world
Moving East time zones go forward in the direction of the approaching sun
Moving West time zones go backwards
The international date line is where the clocks change by 24hrs and east meets West again
