ATA 21 Air Conditioning Flashcards
What happens when the BLEED switches are selected to ON?
Pressure regulator and shutoff valves opens
What will happen when we operate the BLEED flow control selectro on the air condition panel?
PRSOV regulate the flow control valve, sets desired flow
What will happen when the #1 BLEED HOT caution light illuminates?
T > 290°C, automatic shutdown of related pressure regulator and shut off valve and high pressure valve
From where is the air to the air condition pack supplied?
Bleed Air, RESIRC and external ground source
What happens when the aircondition “PACK HOT” caution light illuminates?
T > 207°C, overheat in the ACM
What do we expect when we put the cabin-temp control selector to the F/A detent?
Difficulty to set temperature in flight compartment
What will happen when the CABIN DUSCT HOT caution light illuminates?
T > 88°C, pack temperature control valve will be driven to max cooling position. restored when T < 82°C
What do we obtain by operating the Resirculation Fan?
- Circulation of air
- Prevents overheating when using the ground heater
Why should we normally not operate the aircondition system in manual mode?
Risk of exessive temperature or icing in the ducts
What outflow valve will controll the cabin pressure in auto- and semiauto mode?
Aft normal outflow valve(s)
Whart outflow valve will control the cabin pressure in manual mode?
Safety outflow valve on the forward pressure bulkhead
What will happen when we select the forward dump valve manual selector to OPEN?
Cabin altitude will increase to ambient pressure
What will happen when we select the cabin altitude mode selector to MAN?
Deactivates cabin altitude computer at AFT outflow valve
What is the Normal cabin pressure differential limit?
5,5 +/- 0,3 PSI
What is the maks scheduled cabin altitude?
8000 ft
