assumptions of the learning approach Flashcards
how are things learned
behaviour is a learned response to environmental stimuli
if you was to touch a hot frying pan and you get burnt you would then not do it again
what is classical conditioning
a form of learning where a neutral stimulus is associated with an unconditioned stimulus
Pavlov - dogs associated ringing of bell with food so they knew if the bell rang they would receive food
What is operant conditioning
a form of learning in which behaviour is shaped and maintained by consequences (reinforcers either positive or negative )
what is observation
actively attending to and watching the behaviour of others
what is imitations
copying behaviour of others
what are the roles of observation and imitation
