What are the 3 stages of Syphilis?

3: Tabes dorsalis (posterior columns = slappage gate); Aortic Valve affected

- cause opportunistic infections (pneumocystis carinii)
- Lab tests:
- ELISA - screening test (RNA)
- Western Blot - most accurate (proteins)

Dome shaped, pearly white papule
Nodule
> 0.5cm = hard, raised lesion
Bulla
> 0.5cm = fluid filled lesion –> Phemphigus (blister)

precancerous lesion
