Decrease in blood through circulatory response
Hypovolemic shock
Loss of blood
Respiratory shock
Lungs unable to supply enough o2 to circulatory blood
Neurogenic shock
By general vessel dilation
Cardiogenic shock
Inability to pump enough blood
Psychogenic shock
Syncope caused by temp blood vessels reducing blood to the brain
Septic shock
Result of bacterial infection
Anaphylactic shock
Result of sever allergic reaction
Metabolic shock
Untreated diabetes or increased fluid loss
Shock treatment
Put in cool place
Lift feet 8-10” above the heart
Hip injury
Splint with a spine board
