Minor aches and pains, decrease risk of stroke and heart attack, use for chest pain if no allergy

Aspirin allergy, hemophiliac, taking anti-coagulant medication, children or teen with flu or chicken pox
What are the side effects of aspirin?
Heartburn, nausea, upset stomach

Ophthalmic

Parasympathetic blocker, anticholinergic

.5 mg IV push (5 ml fluid)
What is the route of administration for atropine sulfate?
Subcutaneous, intramuscular, IV
What are the indications for atropine sulfate?
Bradycardia
What are the contraindications for atropine sulfate?
Pts. W/ glaucoma, pyloric stenosis, or prostatic hyper trophy
What are the side effects of atropine sulfate?
Dry mouth, blurred vision, photophobia, tachycardia, anhidrosis
